Kobe Bryant’s Lasting Impact on Women’s Basketball
After the recent death of Kobe Bryant, I was inspired to do a post on his impact on the Women’s game. Not only did Bryant coach his daughter’s travel basketball team, but he was constantly working with women’s basketball players throughout the country. He would answer direct messages on twitter for young players that had questions about the game. He attended college games, and was a constant presence in the community. Being a former basketball player in high school, women’s basketball was often looked down upon or laughed at. It was refreshing to see such a huge presence like Bryant involved with the women’s game.
